真爱好妈 Ma, I Love You

A story about an over-protective single mother Bee Ling, unexpectedly discovers her daughter Qi Qi’s secret plan to escape her overbearing clutches by leaving Malaysia after completed high school and study in France. Shocked by the news, Bee Ling sets about with plans to sabotage her daughter’s dreams. After several vain attempts, Bee Ling decided that “if you can’t beat me, you join me” , so she learns French and tags along… Will Qi Qi make it all the way to France?

Eighteen-year-old Qi Qi is eager to get away from her mother’s restraint and wants to take back the initiative of her own life, fight for her own freedom and chase after her own dreams. Bee Ling always tries to be there for her daughter, but she can’t seem to get into her daughter’s world.

In Qi Qi’s eyes, Bee Ling has lost herself, becoming a mother whose life is filled only with her daughter. Hence, they begin to lack an understanding of each other, ushering the biggest crisis in their mother-daughter relationship which drifted them apart.
